During this time of increased anxiety, we want to share the following resources for folks who are able to help others and for those in need of help. It is unclear how much our government might do to be useful — especially for those most impacted by the virus (people without access to healthcare, without paid sick time, who are poor, old, house/homeless, and/or immune compromised, and made worse by the marginalization many of us experience). This is a chance for us to come together to support one another in ways we might not have before. Or maybe we have been doing this all our lives and other people are finally leaning into it.
The Peace & Justice Center does not own these resources. We are merely sharing them with you. If you have questions about the specific forms please reach out to the owners of the forms. If no contact information is listed please email us and we will try to connect you. If you know of others, please contact program@pjcvt.rg and we’ll add them to this page.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_custom_heading text=”Information on COVID-19 in different languages” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]

Here is a website that is consistently being updated with information regarding the virus in Vermont.
A group of organizers have put together a directory of organizers (and people who are interested in organizing) around the state. They are working to do zoom calls for organizers, so if you add yourself to this directory, you’ll be on the invite list for calls. Here is the Vermont COVID-19 Community Organizers list.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”Geographic Specific Resources” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Some of these Mutual Aid links consist of a spreadsheet with multiple tabs for different categories of need (food, transportation, housing, emotional support, etc) and are specific to different regions of Vermont (non-geographic specific resources further down on the page). You can go to the sheet to add needs you have or things you can offer. If you’d like to start mutual aid in your area you can click here for a template. Simply make a copy of the template ( select “make a copy” in the “file” drop down menu) and share with those in your area.
For clarity of what each link is for, the following resources are split up by whether they are forms for people to submit requests, sign up to volunteer, or if the forms cater to both. If you do not see your area in one tab please look in the others.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_tour][vc_tab title=”Request Forms” tab_id=”c729080c-b3eb-9″][vc_column_text]

Hopefully we’ll know more. You can find your legislators’ contact information here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
