Community Engagement
The mission of Community Engagement is to connect with and serve our community members, activists, partner organizations, and groups and work together to create a more just and peaceful world.
Our Allied Group Program supports multi-identity grassroots activism and mutual aid projects that work to create lasting change.
Through our involvement with campaigns and direct actions, (including nuclear disarmament, livable wage, Just Cause Eviction and Abolish ICE) we uplift and advocate for social justice policy.
Projects & Campaigns
The Peace & Justice Center has a reputation for leading and co-leading grassroots justice campaigns.
Through the campaigns we support we help effect policy change and bring awareness to issues in our community and in our state.
Learn more about our current projects and campaigns, and connect with our team to seek an endorsement for a campaign you are involved with or to share campaign information in our e-newsletter.
Allied Group Program
The Peace & Justice Center started as a coalition of grassroots activist groups, and has built a wealth of skills, knowledge, experience, and networks over the past 40 years. Our Allied Group program offers fiscal sponsorship to grassroots activist groups, allowing them to receive tax-deductible donations and grant funding.
We also offer a number of other services to our groups, including access to our meeting space and volunteer database and marketing assistance.
Community Connection
Through our connection to our community we support direct actions on the ground and help to uplift ongoing, intersectional struggles happening in our community.
We serve as a hub for activism and a place where folks can become involved with and get connected to causes that resonate with them. We have a long history of leading and assisting with protests and acts of civil disobedience.
Additionally, we offer the use of our community space (max capacity of 10) for a rental fee. View Community Space Rental Fees.
Check our community calendar for upcoming events, and subscribe to our e-newsletter to learn about the ways you can get involved in community action.
